COVID-19 Vaccines Available in Austin

Over the past several weeks, Austin Coming Together (ACT) has supported recent planning by the city and several healthcare institutions to increase access to COVID-19 vaccination for Austin residents. These efforts have resulted in the launch of two temporary vaccination clinics being stood up by The Loretto Hospital in partnership with Rush University Medical Center and PCC Wellness in North and Central Austin for a period of 6 weeks with a goal of vaccinating 10,000 Austin residents. The North Austin site will be at Amundsen Park located at 6200 W. Bloomingdale and the Central Austin site will be at Catalyst Circle Rock School located at 5600 W. Washington. Austin residents are now able to register for a Friday or Saturday appointment at Amundsen Park or a Sunday appointment at Catalyst.

While this is only a small portion of the population in Austin, we want to make sure the community takes advantage of these slots being made available as we continue to advocate for more of our residents to be vaccinated. So please spread the word to the Austin residents you know!

Another way we’re assisting in this important effort is with volunteer recruitment. Community members are needed to greet and check-in patients, direct patients throughout the facility, and check temperatures. No medical knowledge or experience is needed to volunteer, and help is needed as soon as THIS FRIDAY 3/12!
