Advancing Inclusive sustainable Development anchored in Manufacturing.

The current paradigm for development is failing most of our communities – MR believes that a “high road,” inclusive manufacturing ecosystem is fundamental for healthy individuals, families, and communities.

Manufacturing Renaissance (MR) is a Chicago-based not-for-profit organization, founded in 1982 in effort to address the wide scale loss of manufacturing jobs and its impact on communities.
MR envisions our programs will contribute to the tangible increases in racial equity, economic and social inclusion in our communities.

What we Do:

MR works with manufacturers, youth, schools, social services, labor and communities to grow inclusive manufacturing ecosystems that can build thriving communities.  Currently we operate several initiatives across two program areas: Career Pathway Services and Manufacturing Ecosystem Services.

Manufacturing Ecosystem Services

Chicagoland Manufacturing Renaissance Council

Expand the coalitions, technical assistance supports and policies that support manufacturing-related programs to advance scalable, sustainable development. The primary program activity is through the Chicagoland Manufacturing Renaissance Council (CMRC) network. The CMRC is a network of organizations and individuals who are advocates for policies and programs related to expanding inclusive manufacturing in our region. Join us!
