Music Director of FOX TV’s ‘Empire’ hosts MC students for a studio tour

Rich Daniels, on-air Musical Director for FOX TV’s hit show ‘Empire’ took a few lucky Manufacturing Connects students and staff on a private, behind the scenes tour of the amazing CineSpace studio in Chicago, where the show is filmed.  Our team got a chance to sit at the same conference table Terrance Howard rules over in his riveting role as Lucious Lyon.  They also visited six other lavish sets made especially for the show including the huge living room with  a grand piano, the Jacuzzi and the beautifully appointed bedrooms of both Taraji P. Henson’s character Cookie, and her on-again-off-again partner, Lucious.  They even stood on the balcony over-looking the city (turns out the city is just a scrim and the balcony was made of plaster and wood).  We are so grateful to Rich for his hospitality and all the time and knowledge he shared with our team.
